Job Description Your role as an SMT operator would monitor and maintain equipment used to create electronic circuits with surface mount technology (SMT).
Your primary job duties involve operating an SMT machine to mount electronic components directly onto circuit boards.
As an SMT operator, you play a pivotal role in the production of devices and equipment used in a range of industries, from auto manufacturing to electronics.
Job Duties Responsible for Operating the SMT line.
SMT line start-up & shut down.
Verification of run and first article inspections.
Reacts quickly to error codes.
Basic knowledge of machine programming.
Provide support and resolve minor equipment and process problems as they occur on the floor.
Familiar with New Product Introduction.
Computer savvy and able to navigate in Windows.
Basic Knowledge of Excel.
Select proper machine programs, load & verify feeders, replenish/splice reels & perform efficient changeovers.
Perform basic preventive maintenance on SMT machines.
Troubleshoot component placement and machine issues.
Visually inspect SMT components and verify that they meet our high-quality standards.
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Dependable, great attitude, and team player.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Flexibility to lead and thrive in a challenging and fast-changing environment.
Must be able to pay attention to details.
High School Degree or GED Experience running an SMT machine.
Experience working in manufacturing.
